The name "Imperatore" refers to a spring water situated near the hotel-restaurant and called "Fonte dell'Imperatore" (The Emperor's spring).

In fact, people tell Emperor Giulio Cesare while he was coming back from Rimini, passed through Passo di Viamaggio  and he drank from this spring.
